Marta Camacho from the University of Cambridge will be talking about the gut and brain interactions in Parkinson’s. Constipation and other gut dysfunctions are common in patients with PD, and is often present even before diagnosis. However it doesn’t affect everyone with the condition. Marta has been exploring the potential mechanisms and significance of the gut in PD and she will bring us up to date on the latest developments.
