We were so sorry to hear that Tom Isaacs, President and Co-founder of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT), died on Wednesday 31st May.

Tom was only 27 when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.  A few years after his diagnosis Tom came up with a plan to raise money for Parkinson’s. It was a remarkable sponsored walk around the entire coastline of Great Britain, a total distance of 4,500 miles. Over the year Tom raised an incredible £350,000 for PD research.

In 2005, Tom Isaacs, along with Sir David Jones, Sir Richard Nichols, Air Vice Marshall Michael Dicken and Helen Matthews founded The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) to focus on finding a cure for Parkinson’s.

You can read more about Tom’s amazing achievements on the Cure Parkinson’s Trust website here.

There will be a memorial service for Tom to be announced in due course.
