Parkinson’s UK know that we enjoy dancing and that it’s good for everyone, if we have Parkinson’s or not. To celebrate the joy and freedom that just moving to music brings they have launched a country wide competition which gives us the opportunity to share the pleasure (and some great prizes). Here’s what they say about the competition:

Make your moves count for something
The When I Dance competition raises awareness of Parkinson’s by bringing together dance communities of all backgrounds and abilities. Dance connects people and everyone can enjoy it. But did you know it can relieve Parkinson’s symptoms?
Enter the When I Dance competition and reveal how dance makes you feel. Help raise awareness of Parkinson’s and the benefits of dance for people with the condition by sharing the competition on social media. Mention us @parkinsonsuk and tag your post or tweet #whenidance

Our dance group in Tippendell Lane is already preparing to enter with a video and short comments from the participants. If you want to know more about what the competition involves and how to enter go to: http://www.whenidance.uk/

And let’s dance!
